Soaked in the spirit of revelry, United Kingdom of Telugu Association’s (UKTA) annual cultural show down “Jayate Kuchipudi” and “Jayate Bathukamma” concluded in London on Saturday.

The closing ceremony saw a strong turnout from the Indian community with top-of-the-line folk dancers and artistes bringing the cultural spirit alive. A melange of classical and folk dance, riveting performances with a dash of humour enthralled the audience.

Live concert, Mahishasuramardhini sthotram, Yakshagaanam, ancient Telugu art form which includes Bhama Kalaapam, Gayatri Vanamaali and Bhakta Prahlada by original Kuchipudi Natyaramam artists, etc., presented a kaleidoscopic view of the rich Telugu art and cultural heritage.

Actor Pawan Kalyan, who graced the three-day celebrations as a chief guest evinced interest to be the torch bearer of Telugu Art and Culture. He stressed the need to uphold the traditional art forms and encourage the artistes.
