Ram Gopal Varma’s Vangaveeti in a legal soup

Ram Gopal Varma’s ambitious project ‘Vangaveeti,’ revolving around the rise of rowdyism in Vijayawada, starting with the killing of Chalasani Venkatarathnam by Vangaveeti Radha, and how everything ended with the death of Vangaveeti Ranga, has landed in legal trouble.

Ahead of the film’s soundtrack launch at Vijayawada on Saturday, YSRC leader Vangaveeti Radhakrishna has moved the Hyderabad High Court stating that the movie distorts facts.

Besides claiming that the film’s trailer and teaser were uploaded on social media without getting a clearance from the censor board, he urged the court to prevent the film from getting a certification.

Following this, the court has issued notices to Varma and producer Dasari Kiran. The next hearing will be on Friday. Seems like no film of Varma, of late, is releasing without seeing itself in trouble!
