Looks like Allu Arjun is making a habit of working with top cinematographers. After roping in Rishi Punjabi for his home production ‘Sarrainodu’, the actor is presently working with Ayanaka Bose (of ‘Kick’ and ‘Kites’ fame) for ‘DJ’ with director Harish Shankar.

For his soon-to-be-launched film, ‘Naa Peru Surya- Naa Illu India’, with writer Vakkantham Vamsi, he will be joining forces with celebrated cinematographer Rajeev Ravi whose work spans across Hindi and Malayalam industries.

Rajeev is also known for his collaborations with Anurag Kashyap, prominent of which include films like ‘No Smoking’, ‘Dev-D’, ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ and ‘Bombay Velvet’.

A source confirms, “When Vamsi proposed the name of Rajeev, Arjun immediately asked him to go ahead. Although Rajeev associates himself with realistic cinema, he was blown away by Vamsi’s script. He felt it was commercial and at the same time is addressing an important point, before green lighting it. He is presently canning Kashyap’s project with Aanand L Rai and will join ‘Naa Peru Surya’ in May.”

The source also adds that Vamsi is in talks with Vishal-Shekar to compose the film’s soundtrack. “The negotiations are in the final stages with the composer’s duo. Also, the chances of Atul-Ajay scoring the film’s background music are high,” he says.
