The actor says losing the signature look felt "like a rebirth for me as the actor but also as the character". Hemsworth will be reprising his role as a Norse god for the sixth time in the forthcoming Marvel film.
In the past, Hemsworth has been seen sporting long flowing gold hair, which he secures back in a half ponytail. In fact, it not clear whether he is wearing his signature red cape in the first look, and has ditched his hammer for two swords in the first look.
Talking about his new look in the third part of "Thor", Hemsworth said: "It was nice not to have to sit in the make-up chair for that hour each morning." The movie will release in India on November 3.
