Neelesh Misra brings Kahaani Express for listeners
Train journeys showcase the diversity of India’s landscape and culture, offering a glimpse into the lives of travellers. These experiences have been voiced into three local Indian languages, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil through 12 unique stories.
Saavn announced its foray into regional content with the launch of a new audio storytelling show, ‘Kahaani Express’. Inspired by the Indian Railways, the latest addition to the Saavn Original Programming catalogue will be hosted by renowned storyteller Neelesh Misra.
Train journeys showcase the diversity of India’s landscape and culture, offering a glimpse into the lives of travellers. These experiences have been voiced into three local Indian languages, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil through 12 unique stories.
Having entertained audiences with his previous audio shows on Saavn, ‘Qisson ka Kona’ and ‘Time Machine’, Misra has received an overwhelming response with a cumulative audience of 3.1 million listeners. With ‘Kahaani Express’, he will explore the lives of people and relationships often encountered on train journeys.
Stories will be shared about emotional goodbyes, hopeful new beginnings, chance meetings, dreamers embarking on life-altering journeys, and more. Each story will be divided into four segments of 15 minutes each, airing four days a week from Monday to Thursday.
Misra commented, “My association with Saavn has been a great success, and with ‘Kahaani Express’ we are taking our shared vision for storytelling even further. I am excited to explore the depths of the human spirit on this show, placing the spotlight on the diverse stories of everyday people we encounter on India’s preferred and most famous mode of transportation: trains.”
The launch of the show also marks Saavn’s foray into regional content. In addition to Hindi, the show will be made available in Tamil and Telugu. The latest development follows on the platform’s push to bring more recognition and diversity to genre-based entertainment, which has seen the launch of several new shows under Saavn’s Original Programming catalogue.
