Impressed by his new avatar and catchy trailer, B-town distributors have reportedly coughed up Rs 1.20 cr-plus to release the action adventure pan-India besides on numerous Hindi channels. “For the first time, Nithiin’s film has been bought for such a fancy price.
The new look of Nithiin and gripping trailer have worked it its favour,” says a Hindi distributor on condition of anonymity. Earlier, Nithiin wasn’t happening star across India after duds like ‘Courier Boy’ but blockbuster ‘Aa Aa’ saved his day.
“Similar to local market, even distributors who buy Hindi dubbing rights keep track of rise and fall of Telugu stars and then bet their money on a winning horse,” he adds.
Maybe, they were impressed by director Hanu’s nicely-cut trailer and for giving Nithiin a complete makeover for his action-centric role. Kudos to both the actor and director for trying to offer something different, away from the routine stuff.
