But to everyone's surprise, Rajini announced this morning that he would not be contesting in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In a press release, he stated that " I am not contesting in this elections. Our party's agenda is to contest in Assembly Elections. Thus we are staying away from Lok Sabha elections for now."
Raji also said, "No party should use my photo our logo in the campaign." With this, Rajini has disappointed many of his fans and followers who were eagerly waiting for him to enter into active politics. Meanwhile, his close friend, actor turned politician Kamal Haasan is gearing up to contest in the upcoming elections.
