40yr old software techie raped

Thiruvanantapuram/Bengaluru: In an alleged incident of rape of a 40yr old woman at a backwater island in Thiruvanantapuram, the two accused have been searched by the police. According to police, two unidentified persons entered inside the room of a Software techie in Thiruvananthapuram at around 2.30 a.m. on November 28, and raped her repeatedly in turns.

The techie was on a official visit along with her colleagues and lodged in the star category resort at Pozhiyur, about 30 km from Thiruvantapuram, The woman suffered injuries during the assault and was in a traumatized state after the incident. It was only after many hours she reported the police of this incident. Police have registered a case of rape on the basis of the victim's statement. She left for Bangaluru after her complaint got registered.
