Man on Bail Kills Wife, Shaheen Begum, Abrar Ahmed. In a heart-rending incident, a 26-year-old woman, Shaheen Begum, was stabbed to death by her husband at Shaheen Nagar on Thursday night. The accused Abrar Ahmed, who was earlier arrested in June for allegedly killing his mother-in-law Nasreen, 57, and brother-in-law Fahimuddin, 24, was released on bail.

Hyderabad: In a heart-rending incident, a 26-year-old woman, Shaheen Begum, was stabbed to death by her husband at Shaheen Nagar on Thursday night. The accused Abrar Ahmed, who was earlier arrested in June for allegedly killing his mother-in-law Nasreen, 57, and brother-in-law Fahimuddin, 24, was released on bail.
According to sources, Abrar Ahmed, who suspected his wife’s fidelity, armed with weapons reached his wife’s house at Ali Nagar on Thursday night and slit her throat. His sister-in-law, Yasmin Begum, who tried to intervene, sustained serious injuries.
Abrar was in Dubai for nearly 15 years before he came to Hyderabad eight months ago. The couple has two children. Earlier in June, he attacked his wife. However, she managed to escape, but his mother-in-law and brother-in- law were killed when they tried to intervene. Police registered a case against Abrar under Section 302 (Murder) and 307 (Attempt to murder) of the IPC. “Efforts are on to nab the accused, who is absconding,” said D Bhaskar Reddy, Inspector of Pahadishareef Police Station.
