Secunderabad: The Secunderabad Railway Police have arrested a retired railway employee on Wednesday for trying to abduct a minor girl. According to the Railway Inspector Ambati Anjaneyulu, a minor girl hailing from Vijayawada visited her relative’s home at Bowenpally and was waiting for the train at Platform No 8 at Secunderabad Railway Station to leave for Vijayawada.

A man in his late ages approached the girl and tried to abduct her. The girl resisted the same and screamed when he tried to forcibly take her away. The fellow passengers caught hold of the man and handed over him to the railway police. The accused has been identified as a retired Railway employee named P Parmajyothi and resident of Vasantapuri colony at Malkajgiri in Hyderabad. He has been arrested and sent for remand.
