Hyderabad: Early Monday, the police started surprise check operations of vehicles near Suraparajupalle of Railway Kodur mandal in Kadapa district. During these operations, the police have allegedly detained the red sandalwood worth Rs 1.5cr from a vehicle. More details are awaited.
According to the sources, in the second incident, in a similar spur-of-the-moment operation, the police have found Rs 10L which has been carried in a car at Pakumakula near Shamshabad in Hyderabad. The details of whom does the vehicle belong are yet to be known.
In another incident, the vigilance officials have allegedly seized as many as 10 lorries illegally carrying sand at Siddipet in Medak district. more details awaited.
