Likhitha's murder case progresses; police suspect mother

Anantapur: The police have forwarded steps in finding out clues in the murder case of Likhitha, a minor girl. The police now believe Likhitha’s mother Uma Maheshwari’s involvement in this case.
Anantapur: The police have forwarded steps in finding out clues in the murder case of Likhitha, a minor girl. The police now believe Likhitha’s mother Uma Maheshwari’s involvement in this case. The police have been interrogating Iliyaz, the conductor of the swimming pool, apart from two other accused in the case. It is learnt that the facial gestures of Likhitha’s mother were suspicious at the time when she reached the police station to make the complaint, according to DSP. After tracing the contact list of Likhitha’s mother, it was learnt that she was in regular touch with Iliyaz over phone. Iliyaz has been held by the police.
During the interrogation, it was told by Iliyaz that Likhitha drowned to death in the swimming pool. After that he took the dead body to Dorigillu in his own car and buried her, added Iliyaz. Hannu, the car driver and Naushad, the other accused have been absconding, added the police.
Nevertheless, the police have been interrogating the case in the angle whether Likhitha was killed for getting clues about the illicit relationship her mother had with Iliyaz. More details are awaited.
It is worth recollecting that the kidnap case of Likhitha has created sensation locally in Anantapur district. She was abducted by unknown miscreants on May 21.
