Minor raped; attempts suicide

Madanapalle: A person took a minor girl to Bengaluru in the pretext of getting her marriage done with her lover and repeatedly raped her for 10 days. The victim girl could not sustain the humiliation and tried to attempt suicide on Sunday night. This incident took place in Madanapalle village of Chittoor district.

A family originally hailing from Galiveedu village of Kadapa district was residing at Madanapalle in Chittoor district for their livelihood. Their daughter aged about 14 yrs was staying with her grandmother and was studying in class VIII. She fell in love with a man named Sai of her native village. Her parents who knew about this episode have taken their daughter along with them. After a few days Sai went to Madanapalle to meet her. Her parents knew it and tried to catch him. The entire episode was keenly observed by Vijay, a resident of Basinikonda and left Sai at other place on his bike.

Subsequently, he introduced himself as Sai’s friend and in the pretext of getting their marriage done he took the girl to Bengaluru. He kept her in a rented room and petrified her. Later, he repeatedly raped her for 10 days. As it became difficult for him to nosh the girl, he dropped her back in Madanapalle and fled away. He threatened her of killing if the matter was leaked. She could not digest what has happened to her and attempted suicide by consuming the pesticide. She was rushed to the hospital by the relatives and has been getting treatment at the hospital.
