Hyderabad: Somishetty Harikrishna, son of Somishetty Prakash who is the brother of Somishetty Venkatshwarlu, the district president of Telugu Desam Party, has been nabbed by the Telangana police. In order to arrest the accused who has been booked under Nirbhaya Act, the Telangana Police has reached Kurnool. According to sources, a case has been booked against Harikrishna by West Maredpally police station vide case No 172/2014 dated 11 June 2014, for allegedly raping a woman residing at Shiva Aruna colony at West Maredpally in Hyderabad.
Two search teams have been nabbing for the accused, added sources. The police who learnt that the accused went hidden in Kurnool district have sent a team for nabbing the individual. It is also learnt that the police have been allegedly under pressure to strike out the case from a top leader of renowned party. Nevertheless, the police have decided to arrest the accused as and when his details would be let known.
