RGIA: 750gm gold seized from man.On Tuesday morning the customs officials have seized 750gm gold at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport of Shamshabad in Hyderabad.
Hyderabad: On Tuesday morning the customs officials have seized 750gm gold at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport of Shamshabad in Hyderabad. According to sources, the gold was seized from a man who arrived at Hyderabad from Dubai. The accused has also been held for interrogation. More details are awaited.
It is worth recollecting that on Monday also, 1kg gold was seized by the customs officials at RGIA of Shmshabad from a woman who arrived from Dubai. In the recent past, Shamshabad airport has become the gateway for smuggling goods and precious items, mostly the Gold. Many such incidents have come into the light in the last few months. Despite the fact that the officials of airport are vigilant, many such smuggling incidents have been taking place, giving a way for many misgivings. With the successive incidents of smuggling happening at RGIA, it turns to be the most befitting gateway for the smugglers of gold.
