Chandigarh: Haryana Police said it has so far recovered nearly 43 kg jewellery and over Rs 2 lakh in cash from the accused of the sensational bank robbery case at Gohana in Sonipat district. A total of 43 kg and 910 gm of jewellery and Rs 2.65 lakh in cash have been recovered so far, Sonipat SP Arun Singh said in a release here.

Cash and jewellery, believed to be worth crores of rupees, were stolen from Gohana branch of Punjab National Bank recently. The robbers had dug a 125-foot-long and 2.5-foot-wide tunnel to the bank from a nearby house lying unoccupied for the past 4-5 years to carry out the Bollywood-style heist.
