Hyderabad: Police on Monday arrested a man and his accomplice for murdering a private employee in Golconda on November 6.

According to police, Md Riyaz, 20, car driver and resident of Rethi Gally, Golconda and Md Omer, 18, a private employee, Chota Bazaar, stabbed a 24-year-old man Abdul Razak to death due to some grudge. The victim was coming out of a mosque after attending Zohar prayers when the incident happened.

Police said Riyaz had an argument with Abdul Razak some three months ago over his deaf brother's removal from work. Riyaz’ elder brother Md Shahbaz used to work under Abdul Razak in Muneeb Enterprise in Golconda. Shahbaz was fired allegedly due to poor performance.

However, Riyaz hatched a plan to kill Razak and executed his plan on November 6 with the help of his friend Omar. “Omer not only helped him acquiring a knife, but also assisted in executing the plan. While Omer drew Abdul Razak's attention, Riyaz stabbed him from back,” A Srinivas, Assitant Commissioner of Police, Asif Nagar said.

A special team investigated the case, which was headed by Md Munawar, Inspector of Police and Ramlal, Sub Inspector of Golconda.
