Hundreds of unemployed youth lured into the trap

Hyderabad: In a wacky case of online fraud, hundreds of vulnerable youths who looked for easy money and lavish lifestyle, have fallen prays to a ridiculous scheme. However, the Cyber Crime police arrested three persons on Tuesday for cheating hundreds of unemployed youth in various States by posting ads on internet seeking male escorts.

According to police, the accused Gonda Tukaram, 29, resident of Asif Nagar, Mainalai Sharanappa, 27, resident of Mangalhat and Hazgonda Raju, 28, a resident of Karwan were posting ads on internet under the name of Male Escort Services.

Their modus operandi was to give a contact number and when the credulous victims call up, explain them the terms and conditions. Then they would convince the aspirant that they would get Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 per each meeting, depending on the customer, of which 20 percent would go to the company.

As a registration fees, the aspirant was asked to pay Rs 10,000 for a year's contract and Rs 6,000 for six months. However, after the victim depositing the money in a specified bank account, the accused would put the aspirant's number in the call block mode and some times change their numbers.

Team lead by Inspector Majid Ali Khan cracked the case and apprehended the accused, under the supervision of ACP Cyber Crimes, Dr B Anuradha.
