Six arrested in BJP leader murder case
Mangapet police arrested six persons on Monday, who are involved in murder of BJP RTI wing district convener K Satayanarayana at Mulug. The arrested were identified as T Prasad, N Harish, Malla Reddy, M Narsingam, P Sivaiah and K Krishna, Mulug DSP Rajamahendra Naik said. He told press persons that nine persons were involved in the murder and six of them were arrested.

The arrested were identified as T Prasad, N Harish, Malla Reddy, M Narsingam, P Sivaiah and K Krishna, Mulug DSP Rajamahendra Naik said. He told press persons that nine persons were involved in the murder and six of them were arrested. Remaining accused Mahendar, B Ravinder and G Suresh were absconding and manhunt was launched to nab them, the DSP said.
The deceased, Satyarayana, was said to have exposed the illegal extortion activities of Prasad, Sivaiah, Harish and illegal timber business run by Prasad by releasing pamphlets. The accused develop a grudge against him. Prasad and his friends in a bid to issue warning to Satyanarayana kidnapped him on December 24 and took to Pinapaka in Khammam district. They forced him to consume liquor and choked him to death using a pillow.

They fist intended to bury the body in sand on the banks of Godavari river but planned to make the death look like an accident. They left the body on road between Mallur and Chunchupalli villages and drove a vehicle on the body, explained the DSP Rajamahendra Naik.
