Guwahati: Security forces apprehended four hardcore militants including two of NDFB(S) in Assam on Wednesday, officials said.
According to reports, army Red Horn division and police had launched operation at Gossaigaon area in Kokrajhar district and nabbed two militants belonging to NSLA.
The militants were identified as Anthony Hembrom and Badal Hembrom.
"Security forces recovered two 9mm pistols and ammunition in possession from them and based on information obtained from the terrorists another 9mm pistol and ammunition were recovered from Udalguri town, " a top police official said.
In separate incident, security forces nabbed a hardcore cadre of NDFB(S) identified as Habel Basumutary from Kachugaon area and recovered a 7.65mm pistol and several rounds of live ammunition.
On other hand police and army had jointly launched operation at Asrabari area in Udalguri district and nabbed another NDFB(S) militant identified as Ranaush Tulciary and recovered one pistol in possession from him.
