Police obtain CCTV footage
The police, which formed three teams for rescuing the kidnapped girl, Mamatha, began analysing the CCTV footage recorded near Suraksha Hospital in Tarnaka on Friday. The video shows visuals of a woman who had kidnapped the three children of which two of whom who were later set free.

Hyderabad: The police, which formed three teams for rescuing the kidnapped girl, Mamatha, began analysing the CCTV footage recorded near Suraksha Hospital in Tarnaka on Friday. The video shows visuals of a woman who had kidnapped the three children of which two of whom who were later set free.
During the course of investigation, the police came to know that the woman befriended the children Mamatha, Ankitha and Naveen by luring them with ice cream. Later, two other women joined her and took all the three in an auto. However, they took along Mamatha leaving Ankitha and Naveen at Mettuguda. Later, Ankitha and Naveen called up their parents with the help of a coconut hawker at Mettuguda.
Even though both the children reached home safely, the whereabouts of Mamatha are yet to be known. Police expressed optimism in cracking the kidnap case. Kachiguda ACP Ch Laxminarayana said the CCTV footage was being analysed, apart from tracking the cell phone of the women, who might have dialed her accomplices during Friday afternoon.
