Youth commits suicide
A 22-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence at KPHB Colony late on Wednesday night. Police said Ramesh, a curry point vendor and a native of Vallapalli village in Prakasam district of AP, committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan at his MIG 1112 residence in KPHB Colony on Wednesday night.

After receiving information, police rushed to the spot and conducted a preliminary inquiry. The motive behind the youth resorting to the extreme step was yet to be established, the cops said. “Ramesh slept alone in one room while his two friends, who shared the flat, slept in the adjacent room. The incident came to light on Thursday morning when his friends' repeated knocks on his door did not elicit any response.
They immediately alerted the police, who in turn rushed to the spot and broke open the door only to find the victim hanging dead,” KPHB sub-inspector M Rajaiah said. The body has been shifted to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination. A case was registered under Section 174 (suspicious death) of the CrPC. Investigation is on.
