36 lakh worth jewellery stolen

A jewellery shop was looted by thieves at Centenary Colony of Khamanpur mandal late on Tuesday night. According to police, robbers broke open the shutter of the shop and fled with Rs 30 lakh worth gold and silver ornaments besides Rs 6 lakh cash. Based on the complaint by the shop owner, Khamanpur police registered a case and launched a man hunt for thieves. Local DSP Malla Reddy visited the spot.
