Man arrested for robbing woman
The Chaderghat Police on Wednesday arrested a 28-year-old man on charges of cheating a 24-year-old woman after promising to drop her at Choutuppal and eventually robbed her valuables and cash. The arrested man, B Arvind Goud, a native of Thimmapur in Mahabubnagar district, befriended P Dhanashri, a native of Krishna district, who boarded a bus in Vijayawada on April 5 to reach Choutuppal and got down at Chaderghat.
Hyderabad: The Chaderghat Police on Wednesday arrested a 28-year-old man on charges of cheating a 24-year-old woman after promising to drop her at Choutuppal and eventually robbed her valuables and cash. The arrested man, B Arvind Goud, a native of Thimmapur in Mahabubnagar district, befriended P Dhanashri, a native of Krishna district, who boarded a bus in Vijayawada on April 5 to reach Choutuppal and got down at Chaderghat.
“She alighted the bus at Chaderghat and was in a confused state of mind as to how to reach Choutuppal. Arvind who was watching her closely, approached and offered her lift on his bike as she failed to catch any transport. He took her to Abids and robbed her valuables and cash,” sub-inspector Krishnaraju said, adding that later after some time she informed the police.
Based on her complaint, police registered a case and took up investigation. During investigation, a special team nabbed Arvind near Chaderghat late on Tuesday night and remanded in judicial custody on Wednesday.
