The police trapped the two after they promised to sell exotic birds to a trader from Serilingampally and cheated him after the trader deposited an advance of Rs. 50,000. The culprits Alex Rodrigue Eboko and Ndim Abake Mathieu had been living in Hyderabad since two years on an education visa with one of them overstaying as his visa had expired.

The Cyberabad Police team under inspector Riyazuddin raided their place. ACP S. Jayaram said that the duo confessed during interrogation that they had advertised prohibited drugs.

Inspector Riyazuddin said that they offered to sell 32 types of steroids, 28 types of potency drugs, 16 types of sleeping pills, 12 types of growth hormones and 8 types of botox injections. A notice has been sent by the police to Indiamart.com for not filtering advertisements.
