Hyderabad: The Telangana State government was never involved in the phone tappings of any leaders or others, clarified TRS MP K Kavitha. Reacting on persistent criticism by the Telugu Desam leaders here on Sunday, Kavitha refuted the charges. She alleged that Chandrababu was trying to hatch new conspiracies against Telangana which won’t be possible.

“According to some news reports, Chandrababu Naidu was in the process of purchasing phone tapping equipment worth Rs 7.5 crore”, Kavitha said. Kavitha further said that the TRS government was not doing anything against norms and there was no need for tapping the phones.

She refuted charges that the Telangana Government pressed its official machinery to tap the phones of Chandrababu Naidu. However, the Chandrababu government was trying to hold supremacy on the Telangana government, she deplored. “Such tactics will not work as the people of the region are not ready to accept Chandrababu’s domination in Telangana,” Kavitha warned.

Another MP of the TRS B Suman accused the previous Andhra governments of destroying the Telangana region and forests. He attributed the reduction of forest region to 24 per cent from 33 per cent to the deliberate attempts of the previous governments.
