Hyderabad: The Central Crime Station (CCS) police on Thursday arrested 13 persons who went absconding after attacking the Marredpally police station. The accused were identified as Karre Narasimha alias Kuthala Narsing, Gudigandla Chandrasekhar alias Chandu, Nadapally Shankar, Kavali Basappa alias Basawaraju, Chilkolla Narasimha alias Bussu, Kudamoothi Ajay Kiran, Bathili Shiva, Bidar Yesu alias Basani Yesobu alias Pothuraju alias Sepi, Voktolu Bannappa, Mohammed Mahboob, Naslai Lingappa, Jakkathi Chandrappa and a juvenile (Benny).
The accused were involved in the attack on Marredpally police station on August 3 in Hyderabad after one G Banappa died due to police interrogation. As many as 25 mobile phones, one iron rod and a motorcycle were seized from them. “The accused along with the seized property were being produced in the courts while our efforts are on to nab the remaining 53 accused persons,” Detective Department Joint Commissioner T Prabhakar Rao said.
