Hyderabad: In spite of the warnings being issued by the Railway Board and the police, unemployed youth continue to fall prey unscrupulous elements who promise jobs. A case of cheating of the unemployed youth by promising them jobs of Ticket Collector, Assistant Station Master, Section Engineers and Gangmen in Eastern Railways was unearthed by the police.



The accused, identified as Bhagavathula Lalith amma and Chandrasekhar, collected huge amounts ranging between Rs7 lakh to Rs 10 lakh from each aspirant. The kingpin, the police said, was Dupattla Sashibhushan Rao and he was aided by a gang from West Bengal in issuing fake appointment orders to the youth.



The police said Lalithamma and Chandrasekhar in association with Sashibhushan Rao had induced Patruni Raghu and other unemployed youth, promise jobs in Eastern Railway, Kolkata, under Railway Ministry quota. They had collected nearly Rs.1.30 crores from about 26 job aspirants, took them to Bandel town, 20 kms away from Kolkata, and trained them by issuing fake appointment orders for one month.



On coming to know of the cheating, one of the victims Patruni Raghu lodged a complaint with Hyderabad Central Crime Station police. The police said Lalithamma was also involved in similar other cases at Yellandu in khammam district, Proddutur of Kadapa district and Musheerabad in Hyderabad. Manhunt was launched to nab other accused, said ACP V Kalesha Vali.
