Woman with child jumps into Musi, both die
A woman along with her six-year-old daughter jumped into Musi River at Golnaka in Amberpet on Saturday. The police retrieved the body of the girl, but the woman’s body was yet to be found.

Hyderabad: A woman along with her six-year-old daughter jumped into Musi River at Golnaka in Amberpet on Saturday. The police retrieved the body of the girl, but the woman’s body was yet to be found.
According to Kachiguda police, Lakshmi, a resident of Krishna Nagar was married to Deepak about seven years ago. The couple have a daughter by name Malathi.
But the woman who was addicted to some kind of substance had lost her mental balance. On Saturday, she reached Golnaka Bridge where the flow was at maximum level and jumped into the stream along with her daughter even as the passersby were watching.
Learning about the incident, the police immediately engaged divers but were able to recover only the body of the girl. They immediately rushed the girl to a nearby hospital but was declared brought dead.
“The divers could not find the body of woman till evening due to heavy water flow,” said Inspector, D Raj Kumar. The GHMC also deployed divers to search for the body of woman.
