Man commits suicide due to police harassment

A man identified as Tulasi Ramachandraiah committed suicide in Jaggapuram village of Eddlapadu mandal in Guntur district on Sunday. Owing to a property dispute, Ramachandraiah had taken the extreme step inform the neighbours.

A man identified as Tulasi Ramachandraiah committed suicide in Jaggapuram village of Eddlapadu mandal in Guntur district on Sunday. Owing to a property dispute, Ramachandraiah had taken the extreme step inform the neighbours.
Ramachandraiah who bought a land from his relatives 40 years back but failed to register the land. The relatives descendants approached the police claiming the land as theirs which led to Ramachandraiah being called to the police station and beaten up brutally. The neighbours stated that he was constantly harassed by the police who even demolished his house and unable to take in more humiliation, he consumed pesticide.
