Snatcher falls down during act, gets thrashed

Hyderabad: A person who had attempted to snatch a gold chain worn by a woman, at Vanasthalipuram on Wednesday, was caught by the locals and handed over to the police.

According to sources, a bike-borne accused has attempted to snatch a gold chain of a woman, walking in a street at Kamala Nagar under Vanasthalipuram police station limits. Unable to control the bike, the accused fell down and suffered injuries.

Enraged locals caught the accused and thrashed him before handing over to the police, the sources said. However, police have not confirmed the arrest of the snatcher.
