B Tech graduate rapes minor
An engineering graduate on Thursday raped a minor girl in Bodepally village in Balkonda and fled away. The distressed girl tried to commit suicide by dousing herself with kerosene.

Balkonda: An engineering graduate on Thursday raped a minor girl in Bodepally village in Balkonda and fled away. The distressed girl tried to commit suicide by dousing herself with kerosene.
According to Balkonda SI Swamy, the 14-year-old girl, who is studying in 9th standard was returning home after purchasing vegetables when her neighbour Naresh invited her into his home. When she came into his house, he locked the doors and committed the heinous act.
The girl came back to her home and tried to commit suicide by dousing herself with kerosene. She suffered severe burn injuries. Her family members took her to Nizamabad government hospital for treatment but as her condition was critical, the hospital staff sent the girl to Hyderabad for better treatment.
Balkonda Police registered a rape case against Naresh under Nirbhaya and POSCO Acts. Rehana Begum, the minor girl’s mother, demanded the government and police that they should take severe action against the accused and provide justice to their family.
RDO Yadireddy, DSP Anand Kumar, DMHO Dr Venkat visited the Nizamabad hospital and spoke with the victim’s parents. They promised to deliver justice to them.
