One killed, 15 hurt as van overturns

One person was killed and 15 others were injured when the van in which they were travelling overturned near Ghat janagam village of Vankidi mandal in the district on Saturday. They were on their way to attend a marriage in Surdapur viilage in Karimeri mandal in the district.

The accident took place while the driver was trying to avoid hitting an autorickshaw. While Kumaram Bojji Rao (15) was killed on the spot, the injured were admitted in a government hospital in Asifabad.
