The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested town planning officer of CRDA Huzur Rehman in Guntur on Tuesday and raided 11 places spread over 10 districts of the State on charge of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. The officers seized Rs 10 lakh found in his bank account, another Rs 10 lakh and half a kg gold at his home in the city.

The officers seized Rs 10 lakh found in his bank account, another Rs 10 lakh and half a kg gold at his home in the city.
DSP K Ramakrishna Prasad said they found documents related to G plus one building in Kurnool, G plus 2 houses in Visakhapatnam, four-storeyed building in Guntur called Saba Heights, 200 sq yards site between Vijayawada-Guntur Road, 150 sq yards in Daspalle Hills in Visakhapatnam and 70 cents of land in the capital region of Thullur.
The Thullur site alone is estimated to cost around Rs 20 crore in the open market, the DSP said and added that Rehman is also operating a real estate company RK Constructions in the name of his son. The DSP said that Rehman would be brought to Visakhapatnam on Wednesday and would be produced in the ACB court.
