​Hyderabad: Cyberabad police seized 19 taxis for operating illegally at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. Police said the taxi drivers had no valid authorisation to carry passengers.
During special drives conducted by Cyberabad traffic police at Shamshabad and at airport, they intercepted cabs and taxis and found that the drivers did not have permission to operate at the airport.
The police carried out the operation following several incidents of passengers being robbed and rape in Cyberabad Police Commissionerate limits. “For sake of passengers’ safety, especially the women, the special driver was conducted,” said Traffic Police ASP Satheesh.
