Man held for attempting to rape girl
The owner of a private hostel was arrested by S R Nagar police on Thursday on charges of allegedly attempting to rape an 18-year-old girl.
​Hyderabad: The owner of a private hostel was arrested by S R Nagar police on Thursday on charges of allegedly attempting to rape an 18-year-old girl.
According to S R Nagar police, the girl, hailing from Kerala was employed in a private firm in the city and residing at Arru Women’s Hostel in BK Guda of S R Nagar.
On Wednesday night, the girl found that some cash in her bag was missing and the hostel owner Narender Reddy had called the girl to come to a park in BK Guda to discuss the issue.
He later took her to his room in the neighbourhood. After having a smoke, the girl felt drowsy and within minutes she realised that Narender was molesting her.
The girl escaped and approached S R Nagar police. Police booked a case against Narender for outraging the modesty of a woman and arrested him.
