Hyderabad: Burglars struck at six houses in KPHB colony on Saturday night and decamped with property worth Rs 15 lakh. Rather surprisingly, the burglars did not steal anything from four of the six houses they broke into.

All the burglaries took place in Pragathi Nagar in KPHB police station limits, within a span of three hours. The burglars entered the house of one Raviteja, who works as an engineer and stole Rs 9.5 lakh cash and seven tolas of gold ornaments.

Next, they intruded in to businessman Parthasaradhi’s house and took away gold ornaments weighing seven tolas and a laptop, said KPHB police.

Later, the burglars entered four more houses, but for some reason left the valuables in those houses untouched.

The police are suspecting professional offenders behind the burglaries. They have booked a case and are verifying the footage of CC cameras installed in the nearby areas and also the footage of CC cameras installed in Raviteja’s house.
