Father rapes and kills married daughter in Karimnagar

22-year-old girl Mounika who was abducted on Saturday was found hanging from a tree at Desaipet of Medipalli Mandal in Karimnagar district on Sunday. The victim had married a youth of Motkuraopet just three months back.

However, it has come to light that her father was the one who actually killed her. Mounika's father Mallaiah earlier reported to the police that some unknown miscreants abducted his daughter while he was taking her to their home from in-laws' place.

The police who began the investigation suspected Mallaiah on the basis of his inconsistent version of the abduction. He was later taken into police custody where he was questioned and soon confessed to killing his daughter after raping her.

Mallaiah confessed to being enraged over paying an extra dowry for his daughter's marriage, following which he raped Mounika before strangulating her to death with her saree. However, he made up a story in front of the police saying that his daughter was kidnapped and murdered.
