The ACB sleuths have caught a Tahsildar and Assistant Revenue Inspector red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 1.20 lakh from ration dealers at Maripeda in Warangal district.
Warangal: The ACB sleuths have caught a Tahsildar and Assistant Revenue Inspector red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 1.20 lakh from ration dealers at Maripeda in Warangal district.
The accused Tahsildar P Manula and Assistant Revenue Inspector Dugya Naik have reportedly demanded the bribe towards their monthly collection from the ration dealers.
A group of ration dealers who were vexed up with the Revenue officials’ attitude have lodged a complaint with the ACB officials in Hanamkonda.
Following which the ACB DSP R Saibaba and his team have laid a trap and caught the duo. They were taken into custody and would be produced before ACB court in Hyderabad, the DSP said.
