​Hyderabad: The Madhapur police on Friday arrested two persons, including the managing partner of a company that was allotted the contract to fix the manholes at Madhapur. In an unfortunate incident on August 13, four persons, including three labourers of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board died while cleaning a manhole at Chandranayak tanda in Madhapur. A passerby, who tried to help the labourers, too died of asphyxiation.

An emergency service employee of 108, who tried to rescue the three, was fighting for his life in a private hospital. The deceased persons were identified as labourers Pallapu Satyanarayana (42), Pallapu Srinivas and adda coolie Oorsu Nagesh (35) and Gangadhar Reddy (31) of Borabanda.

The Madhapur police had then booked a case and arrested contractor Peri Loka Reddy (59) and G Santosh Kumar, the Managing Partner of GSK Infra, on Saturday and remanded them.
