Hyderabad: Dr K V Rao Scientific Society here invites applications for the 14th annual Dr K V Rao research awards from research scholars and doctorates for the year 2013-2014.
The awards would be presented for outstanding research work by young scientists working in basic sciences which include chemistry and allied sciences, biological sciences, physics and mathematics. The winners in each category would receive a cash award of Rs 20, 000 and a trophy while the runners-up would be given Rs 10,000.
The awards are meant to encourage young scientists to inculcate interest in research and improve their abilities in the field of their choice. A panel of judges comprising of eminent scientists will evaluate the research papers and select the candidates.
