Hundreds of students interested in pursuing higher education abroad got an insight into various professional courses and employment opportunities in Australia, apart from advice on visa processing and education loans at the Storm Mega Australian Education Fair held in the city on Wednesday. The fair was inaugurated by MLA Gadde Rammohan Rao.

Many students, accompanied by their parents, were seen getting the course details and fee structure from the official representatives of the Australian universities at the fair. As many as 12 universities from Australia participated in the fair to fill their overseas student quota. According to Storm Educational Consultancy chairman P Srinivasa Reddy, “There are vast disciplines in Bachelor’s and Master’s courses and many research programmes in Australia.”

“The mega fair was intended to educate students on the working procedure of the universities, their requirements, visa processing, eligibility test and post work permits, off time campus jobs, besides education loans, scholarships and other assistance. The prospective candidates got an opportunity to interact directly with the official representatives of the universities at the fair. Several higher educational institutions from Perth, Queensland, Sydney and Melbourne participated in it,” Srinivasa Reddy added.

Speaking on the prospects of pursuing higher education abroad, MLA Gadde Rammohan Rao said, “It would provide better exposure to students. Australia is fairly a safe place for the overseas students.”
