Want to study abroad? Govt to grant loans
Hyderabad district authorities have invited applications for grant of loans to economically backward students who want to pursue higher education abroad. The loan will be provided under the Dr Ambedkar Central Sector Scheme of Interest Subsidy on Education (ACSSISE) for the financial year 2014-15.

District collector K Nirmala added that students who are already pursuing masters, M. Phil and P hD abroad, are eligible to avail the benefit. The criteria for the grand of loan is that the annual income of the applicants’ parents should not exceed Rs 1 lakh. Candidates have to submit ITR/form-16 and income certificate issued by the State Government and the loan can be availed only one time. The release of grant would be stopped if the candidates discontinued education or are dismissed from the course on disciplinary grounds. Besides this, legal action would be initiated if the certificates furnished by the applicants are found to be fake.
