Prof Kakarla Subba Rao, former Director of the Nizam\'s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), launched the tenth batch of the ASCI\'s Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital Management (PGDHM) at the college campus. He underlined the need for focusing on the primary healthcare sector to cater to the health needs of the majority of people.
Hyderabad: Prof Kakarla Subba Rao, former Director of the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), launched the tenth batch of the ASCI's Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital Management (PGDHM) at the college campus. He underlined the need for focusing on the primary healthcare sector to cater to the health needs of the majority of people.
"We have green revolution and other revolutions in various sectors but unfortunately there is no revolution in healthcare management, which is very crucial," he added. The ASCI DG Ravi Kant (1985 batch IAS) elaborated on the glorious history and traditions of ASCI to the students and parents. "ASCI believes in leadership through learning," he said.
Dean of training programmes, Prof Chandrasekhar said that ASCI would finance the students of PGDHM if they wish to attend national level seminars and conduct national and international workshops. ASCI-PGDHM academic advisory board member Col Bhaskar Reddy, the Director of the Centre for Healthcare Management at ASCI Subodh Kandamuthan, Associate Professor Bhawna Gulati, Medical Officer Ramakrishna and placements officer Padmashree Radhaswamy also addressed at the event. Students from the new batch visited ASCI's Bella Vista campus along with their parents and guardians and interacted with faculty members.
