Know only if you are willing to act – Salamander to HR

The regeneration capacity of any parts of the body of salamander is amazing. Most species of salamander has such ability. The question is do salamander know their ability. The answer can be yes or can be no. The other question is why salamanders should know about it. By knowing the above, what difference it can make to their life? By knowing, will Salamander ever dare to take extra risks in its life? By asking such question or knowing the answer to such question, will salamanders really benefit or not, we cannot explain but definitely the corporate people will find a useful management message from the above?

It appears, most species of salamanders doesn’t know but not all about their ability i.e., they can grow back their lost parts of the body easily. The species of salamander that ‘appears to know’ about such ability are the ones naturally navigate larger areas in search of food than restricts to some small water holes. Such species of Salamander are even known to climb up the small hills. When they climb up the hills, they also equally risk their life as they will have to rush back to safer zones when predators see them. Unlike other animals, the salamander rolls like rubber tire of vehicles and slope down quickly from the hill top. When they role down, they reach the ground faster than running down or climbing down.

When they role down, naturally many animals do break their limbs, tails or some other parts of their body. A life worth more than the injurious they likely to suffer and that may be the reason why they role down to escape from predators barring the possibility of injurious.

One has to assume that salamanders take such risk not just because they want to escape somehow from the predators. If that were true, like many other salamanders, they also would not have moved away from their safer zone (small water hole). They have done so only because they know they can quickly roll down. They could role down may be because they know even if they have to loose some part of the body during the process, they would grow back completely.

Only such wisdom differentiates this species of salamander from the rest. The management message is that knowing one's ability, strength, capability, wisdom etc are inevitable only then one can take challenges without fearing or worrying about the result. Otherwise, one might remain mute and silent despite having wonderful talents and capabilities.

Talents and capabilities are only to take challenges and risks in the event of any adversity. Therefore, understand your abilities and position yourself well like how some species of salamander.
