Entrepreneurial ecosystem vital for clean tech enterprises
Pointing out the huge opportunity for the Clean Technology industry in India and the world, Fred H Walti II, Co-Founder of Los Angeles Clean Tech Incubator, identified that a well developed entrepreneurial ecosystem is vital to support and encourage growth of enterprises in the Clean Technology industry.
Hyderabad: Pointing out the huge opportunity for the Clean Technology industry in India and the world, Fred H Walti II, Co-Founder of Los Angeles Clean Tech Incubator, identified that a well developed entrepreneurial ecosystem is vital to support and encourage growth of enterprises in the Clean Technology industry.
He was delivering a lecture on “Innovation and Incubation of Clean Tech Market” at ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, organised in association with the US Consulate General, Hyderabad.
Noting that climate change affects poor the most and Clean Technology will touch every part of life. Walti, also observed that a lot of effort is being put in developing technologies in the area, the delivery of these products and services to the masses needs to be addressed. He also stated that the future of Clean Technology is bright and it will provide lot of opportunities for the Industry.
Walti, also mentioned that the Clean Technology entrepreneurship support system is not uniform across locations and economies and networking and cross learning can help to improve this. He also noted the rapid strides being made by India in the area of renewable energy and expressed his appreciation for the ambitious target of the Government of India to install 175 GW of solar power by the year 2022 in the country.
