Guwahati: Assam forest minister Atuwa Munda on Sunday discussed with journalists of Assam to curb rhino poaching incidents and to protect wild animals in the state.

During the discussion held at Assam state zoo in Guwahati, the minister urged to the journalists and several leaders of civil societies, other organizations to participants anti poaching campaigns.
"We have already discussed in the failures of forest department not to curve rhino poaching incidents. I had ordered to the forest officials including the Kaziranga National Park, Manas National Park, Orang National Park and Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary authorities to take all stern action against poachers and other persons who involved in the poaching, " Assam forest minister Atuwa Munda said.
Assam had lost six one horned rhinoceros which were poached including five alone in Kaziranga in this year so far.
In 2014, poachers killed at least 36 rhinos in the state.
In other hand, Kaziranga National Park authority had published more than 300 poachers name and announced cash award for giving information about poachers.
