Even though the Indian Meteorological Department have issued reports stating that the monsoon would arrive in Andhra Pradesh in 48 hours on Friday, the Southwest Monsoon has been delayed yet again by one more day.
On Sunday, the IMD in its report stated that the monsoon would take another two days to reach Coastal AP and Rayalseema regions. Whereas in Telangana, the meteorologists predict that the monsoon would arrive between June 10 and 12.
With convective clouds and upper air cyclonic circulation over AP, the conditions are favourable for the monsoons in the state. The IMD reported that in parts of AP and Telangana, thunderstorms would occur on Monday while Sunday witnessed deficient rainfall in seven districts of AP and two of Telangana.
However, the temperatures were recorded to be normal or below normal in both the states.
