Hyderabad: In a warning to Andhra Pradesh, the Met department said on Tuesday that shallow to moderate fog conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh on January 17.

According to the bulletin, shallow to moderate foggy conditions prevailed in the coastal districts during the day on Tuesday. There was no large change in the minimum temperatures in the coastal and Rayalaseema regions during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Tuesday.

They were above normal by 1.6 to 3 degrees Celsius at a few places in coastal districts and appreciably above normal ranging from 3.1 to 5 degrees Celsius at one or two places in Rayalaseema. The lowest minimum temperature of 16 degrees Celsius was recorded in Arogyavaram.

The other night temperatures in the State were: Kalingapatnam & Visakhapatnam Airport 17 deg each, Jangamaheswarapuram & Anantapur 18 each, Nandyal & Tirupati 19 each, Bapatla, Nandigama, Tuni, Visakhapatnam & Kadapa 20 each, Kavali, Machilipatnam, Narsapur, Ongole, Vijayawada & Kurnool 21 each, Kakinada 22 and Nellore 23. Meanwhile, the day temperatures in the State are steadily rising with Anantapur recording a high of 35 degrees Celsius.
