TRS Party Declares Final ListHyderabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Tuesday announced the third list of 36 Assembly candidates and 8 MP candidates. TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao and his daughter K Kavitha will contest from Medak and Nizamabad parliament constituencies respectively. Rao is also contesting from Gajwel Assembly seat in his LS constituency. He bête noire Vijayashanti is incidentally fielded from Medak Assembly seat by the Congress party.

A former TDP minister G Nagesh is another candidate who would be contesting for both Assembly and LS seats. He has been fielded from Boath Assembly and Adilabad Lok Sabha constituencies. The highlight of the third list of TRS is that even those who joined the party on Tuesday like Nomula Narasimhaiah. Among other such leaders who joined the party and walked away with tickets in last one week are CPI MLA B Chandravathi, Gurunath Reddy, K Hanumantha Reddy, N Ramamohan Goud (all Congress), Mutha Gopal from TDP, Putta Madhu and Bajireddy Govardhan Reddy who migrated from YSRCP. They will contest from Nagarjuna Sagar, Wyra, Kodangal, Qutubullapur, L B Nagar, Musheerabad, Manthani and Nizamabad constituencies. Mynampalli Hanumantha Rao, who quit TDP and joined Congress on Monday, switched to TRS as it gifted him the Malkajgiri MP seat nomination.

Nomula Narsimhaiah will contest against the Congress senior leader K Jana Reddy from Nagarjuna Sagar and Putta Madhu will be pitted against former minister D Sridhar Babu in Manthani. According to the list, Kakatiya University professor Seetharam Naik has been fielded from Mahbubabad (ST) Parliamentary constituency. TRSV president Balka Suman’s candidature for Peddapalli MP seat came in as a major surprise.

TRS was left to fill a big void in this segment after the sitting MP G Vivek moved over to Congress recently. Even though the party reportedly tried to convince singer Rasmai Balkishan, political analyst Ghanta Chakrapani and former MP Suguna Kumari to contest from there, it ultimately zeroed in on Suman’s name for this key segment. The notable exclusion from the list was the name of sitting MLA from Parkal M Bhikshapathi who made way for Advocate JAC leader M Sahodhar Reddy in Parkal segment in Warangal district. Former market committee chairman and Union Minister Sarve Satyanarayana’s follower N Rammohan Goud, who joined the party on Tuesday, was fielded from LB Nagar Assembly seat.
